Shy Child

Supporting your anxious child

For parents of children aged 5 - 10

Children who feel anxious often feel overwhelmed and insecure about the world around them. Their presentation of anxiety could look like withdrawal, obsessive behaviours and tantrums.

In this workshop, we will look at what can cause and what can support your child’s anxiety. We will look at some of the cultural and individual factors that can contribute to anxiety, as well as learning how listening to your child through art and play therapy can be a really safe and creative way to explore difficult emotions.

Supporting your anxious teenager

For parents of teenagers in secondary and higher education

Teenagers who feel anxious often feel stressed and fearful about the world around them. Their presentation of anxiety could look like mental ruminating, anger and self harm.

In this workshop, we will look at what can cause and what can support your teenagers anxiety. We will look at some of the cultural and individual factors that can contribute to anxiety, as well as learning how listening to your teenager more effectively can enable a really safe and creative environment  to explore difficult emotions.

Your at the heart

At the heart of all my workshops is the parent and the child. Parenting can feel lonely and overwhelming which can make it feel daunting to ask for help. My hope is that these workshops will build your confidence, creativity and care for your child’s mental health.
